I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas

......and who isn't? I would love to have a beautiful snowy white Christmas but in this case I am talking about the movie White Christmas (a.k.a. my FAVORITE Christmas movie). This movie is filled with entertaining song/dance numbers and lovely fashion....it's an inspirational snack! I don't normally love musicals but I just love the way this one has been done! If you have never seen it (hopefully you have) please rent it immediately! You will not be sorry you saw this classic Christmas film!

Bing Crosby (top hat and all) and Rosemary Clooney singing at a piano...is that classic enough for you?

The Minstrel number is probably one of my favorite parts of this movie!

Alice in Wonderland inspiration

Check out pictures from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I've been so inspired by these photos. I would love to throw a party with this as the theme/inspiration! It's got sort of a whimsical yet goth tea party kind of thing going on. I saw some amazing black teacups and saucers at an antique shop the other day that only furthered my inspiration. Who knows...maybe this Halloween....

Up Party ideas

I saw the new Disney/Pixar movie Up this weekend...what a lovable movie, with such a sweet story. Trust me, this is a must-see! I just know that there are going to be some amazing Up parties out there. It got me thinking about what I would do if I were planning an Up party. Here are some images and ideas that have inspired me so far:

I could want to use all the colors of the balloons in the movie as my color palette. An Up party is screaming to be colorful! 

Grape soda would need to be served of course ( if you have seen the movie than you know why) as well as chocolate bars.

I love the idea of mixing in elements of blue sky and white clouds throughout the party space. Tablecloths, balloons, scene setters ect...

Serve bright party foods and candy at this event to keep the fun in the food!

Maybe pull in some polka dot elements?

Sex and The City Movie Sequel

I don't know how many of you are Sex and The City fans out there...but I am a BIG ONE! I didn't actually start watching the series until it was already over, I had to catch up with DVD. BUT THEN....I fell in LOVE! The series is so clever ( probably because Carrie Bradshaw is a writer) and fashionable. Now the movie, don't get me wrong was really good. HOWEVER, it was nothing in comparison to the series. I have big curiosities about the sequel, and of course since I had a party for the premiere of the original Sex and the City Movie, I thought I might have a sequel party too! The official premiere date for the sequel is May 28th, 2010  , and so naturally that will also be the date of my Sex and The City Party The Sequel! Happy First Day of Spring!

These are my favorite movies to watch that get me in the spring-y mood! They are all full of flowers and colors, and happy endings!(except for Marie Antoinette....things didn't really work out for her so well....but it's a visually stunning movie!)
