For the release of The Sex And The City Movie I decided to throw a premiere party at a friend's town house. It made sense since I am OBSESSED with hosting parties, and also OBSESSED with Sex And The City! The concept is hot pink, black, and leopard print (sexy huh?) For decorations I made my friend's entertainment center into a "closet" with shoes and accessories, and I lined the top with shopping bags. I created a bar covered in hot pink velvet where comopolitans and Absolut Hunks were served. The food all had a very New York feel to it , and most of the menu was things that the ladies eat in the show. Even an "I love you" cookie cake like the one Robert gave Miranda. After we ate and drank for a couple hours and watched the final two episodes of the series, it was off to the movie! So much fun! This theme is very addaptable for a bachelorette party, or lingerie shower too!!
It's almost here!! The Shear Genius Celebration! Only a couple of days left! I have got so much to do, but it is going to be AMAZING ...I hope! Will post party pics next week!
I am not a member of the P.T.A. I am neither parent nor teacher.I AM however, LOVING the idea of getting back to school with some style! The summer is over and I find myself surrounded everywhere I go in school supplies ... and inspiration.Swap red apples for green, bundle pencils and rulers around vases, and get these super cute chalkboard glasses from World Market!
So I went over to The Cork And Olive in Brandon off of Lithia the other day to scope out some Polish Ice Wine which so very expensive but I hear is also worth the price. Anyways...I was talking with the woman that worked there and she told me that they host FREE in home tastings for up 25 people. You come in and select 6 bottles of wine that they bring to your home and you and your friends get a free wine tasting from the comfort of your own home! Needless to say I was VERY excited about this! Not only is it FREE but it allows me to throw a bash! So I got inspired and starting thinking about what this bash would be like. Well I know where I would get the wine ( the FREE wine ) and I would also serve gourmet cheese, bread sticks, and olives. I'm not sure on the pairings but I can learn, and I'm sure that the employees over at The Cork And Olive would be able to lend a hand. Also, I thought that customized wine stoppers would make cute favors, Martha Stewart had an idea to use fancy drawer pulls attached to a cork with a screw as bottle stoppers. I LOVE THIS IDEA!
I was just thinking the other day that I needed somthing to keep my ear buds from getting all tangled up after every use of my ipod. Thankyou fredflare.com!
